WHO IT IS FOR
Families come to our teachers from three different places.
Some families have used Origins for years, some are hearing about us for the first time, and some are deciding what to do next. Our teachers work with all three, and each session is shaped around your child and the materials you already use.

You homeschool with Origins
A lesson is not landing, a biome feels like too much for one week, or you would like a second set of eyes on how your child is moving through the Mother Mandala. Our teachers know the curriculum well and can work through the exact lesson with your child.

You use another curriculum or school
Your child follows a different program, attends school, or learns on a plan you built yourself. Our teachers can tutor in a specific subject, work with the materials you already have, and help your child through the parts of a topic that are giving them trouble.

You want a clearer picture
You are wondering whether your child is on track, ready for the next grade, or in need of more support in one area. An assessment session gives you a teacher's view of where your child is and what to focus on next.

Choose a 30- or 60-minute session.
Both are one-on-one sessions between your child and a teacher. You pay when you book, and your time is held as soon as payment goes through.
Is this your child's first session?
Before your first booking, please fill out our intake questionnaire. It asks which curriculum your family uses, your child's grade, and what you would like help with, so your teacher can prepare before you meet. You only need to complete it once, and returning families can book below.

Sessions open 48 hours out, which gives the teacher time to read your answers and prepare.
Reschedule
You can move your session at no charge up to 24 hours before it starts.
Refunds
Cancel 24 hours or more ahead for a full refund. Changes inside 24 hours require booking and paying for a new session.

HOW IT WORKS
Four steps take you from booking to your first session.

Tell us about your child.
New families complete a one-time intake questionnaire so your teacher knows which curriculum you use, your child's grade, and what you would like help with.

Choose a length and a time.
Pick 30 or 60 minutes and a time at least 48 hours out. A short form at booking asks what you would like this session to cover, and you can upload recent work samples if you have them.

Pay to confirm your booking.
Payment is taken when you book. Your confirmation email includes the link to join your call, and we send reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before the session.

Meet your teacher on a live call.
Your child works directly with the teacher, who has read your answers ahead of time. You are welcome to join whenever it feels right for your child.

Every Origins teacher has classroom or homeschool experience with children in PreK through 5th grade. Your child's 1:1 sessions are with Paige, and the rest of our teaching team leads our live classes and parent calls.

Paige has spent more than a decade teaching and writing curriculum in public, charter and independent schools. She holds a Master’s in Education from UC Davis, a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Origins Eco Educator certification, and she has special experience supporting children with dyslexia.

Gena is a licensed PreK through 6th grade teacher with nearly two decades of experience in education and curriculum. She holds master’s degrees in Elementary Education and International Education, and she once directed global education programs for more than 2,000 students in the Washington, DC area.
Sarah Jamieson
LIVE CLASSES AND PARENT CALLS
Sarah is a certified Parent Coach through the Jai Institute, a trauma-informed wellness practitioner and a movement educator. Her work centers on child development, sensory integration and nervous system regulation, and she builds learning spaces that honor every child’s strengths through movement, play and connection.

QUESTIONS
What families ask before booking.
Do we need to use Origins Curriculum to book?
Sessions are open to every family, whether or not you use Origins. When you book, tell us what your child is learning and which materials you use, and the teacher will prepare around them.
Which ages do your teachers work with?
Our teachers work with children in PreK through 5th grade, the same range our curriculum covers.
Should I be on the call?
Sessions are set up as time between your child and the teacher. You are welcome to join whenever you feel it is right for your child, and a parent nearby can help younger children with the technology.
What do we need for the session?
A computer or tablet with a working camera and microphone, a quiet place to sit, and any materials connected to what you want to work on. The link in your confirmation email opens the video platform your teacher uses. If your child has recent work, uploading it when you book helps the teacher prepare.
When are sessions available?
Sessions are offered during our teachers' working hours in the United States. The calendar shows open times in your local time zone, and new times open as Paige sets her schedule.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel?
You can reschedule at no cost, or cancel for a full refund, up to 24 hours before the session. Inside 24 hours the time is held for your child, so a change means booking a new session. If something comes up, email [email protected] and we will help you find a new time.
Is there a rate for Bloom families?
Bloom members book at $25 for 30 minutes and $50 for 60 minutes. Sign in to your member portal and book from there, where the member rate is already applied.
Which teacher will we meet with?
Your child's 1:1 sessions are with Paige Minichiello, one of our Origins teachers. Her name and the link to join the call are in your confirmation email, and she reads your answers before you meet.
